"Very excited to try out their whole line up of products on my Transit and as of now, would highly encourage everyone else to do the same! Product was of high quality and you actually felt justified in purchasing something to better your quality of life in the van as opposed to dealing with buyers remorse and getting turned off by a companies crazy price points. "because I had to leave town the day it arrived. During the shipping process an emergency came up. I contacted whitetop to help arrange delivery. The man I spoke with (I wish I could remember his name) was wonderful and did everything he could to help me. I may edit this once I am able to open the package but after seeing how they prioritize customers I am not worried that there will be any issues."

Instructions and part list are lacking

"The instructions were severely lacking. The gasket wasn't even listed in the parts description. After several searches on you tube, we found a video that explained better. Not sure about quality yet as it's only been on for one day."

Solid Build

"The material is solid aluminum and the hardware comes with extra parts ( Just in case that you drop something). The rack is solid. The only issue that I had, has nothing to do with the rack. My Ford transit had the bolt nut plate off-set from the roof cap holes. This means that you need to grind out the hole so that the bolt will align with the nut plate. Make sure that you have a Dremel or an electric drill with grinder fittings."

Easy installation. Nice looking upgrade.

"Super easy to put together. Took a few hours. Crossbars really need to be slid in from an open side. Dropping them in doesn't happen even with the cutout spots in some areas. Might have to add some decks eventually but the solar attached easily. Used 8020 hardware instead of the self tapping scores normally provided."

Will this rack fit my year Ford Transit 148" High Roof Extended?

Yes — the Transit Van 148" High Roof EXT Strata Roof Rack fits all Ford Transit high roof 148" extended wheelbase vans. Confirmed compatible across all years. For other configurations (148" non-extended, 130" WB, mid roof), we make separate SKUs you can find them here: https://whitetopadventures.com/collections/transit — confirm your exact wheelbase and roof height before ordering. Wrong-size orders do happen: if you ordered the standard 148" instead of the 148" EXT, contact us at info@whitetopadventures.com immediately and we might be able to exchange it before it ships.

Will the Fiamma F45S awning work with the Transit Strata rack? Are the brackets the same as Sprinter?

Yes — the Transit Strata rack is compatible with the Fiamma F45S wall-mount awning. The same F45S awning brackets work for both Sprinter and Transit racks. NOT compatible with the F80S roof-mount awning. For bracket hole position: use the lower holes per the install video. If you already have the rack installed and the awning hasn't arrived — the Fiamma awning ships directly from Fiamma in Florida via freight carrier (not FedEx/UPS). How does this ship? Does it ship freight? How long does it take?

The Transit Strata rack ships via UPS/FedEx Ground from our Tustin, CA warehouse — not freight. Arrives in 3–7 business days once shipped. The rack ships in multiple boxes; if a box is missing, contact us with your order number. For signature on delivery: this cannot be added after the order has shipped — contact us before it ships if needed. Can I mount solar panels on the Transit Strata rack? What size panels fit?

Yes — mount solar panels directly to the crossbars using our Solar Panel Mounting Brackets (hardware included): whitetopadventures.com/products/roof-rack-solar-panel-mounting-brackets. Inside rail width is 53.2". For 200W panels: confirm the short-axis dimension is under 53.2" — if wider, panels must be oriented lengthwise. For CAD drawings or exact crossbar dimensions for solar layout planning, email info@whitetopadventures.com.

Does the WTA Transit side ladder work with this rack? What about a mid-roof Transit?

Yes — the WTA Transit Side Ladder is designed to work alongside the Transit Strata rack. It mounts to the factory roof rails independently — no conflict with the rack. For mid-roof Transit: we make a separate Transit 148" Mid Roof Strata Rack — confirm your roof height before ordering. The mid-roof side ladder is a different SKU from the high-roof ladder. For a standard/low roof Transit: contact us before ordering as ladder options are limited.

What are the crossbar dimensions? Can I buy additional crossbars separately?

Transit crossbar length: 60.5 inches. Additional crossbars are sold as a 2-pack here: whitetopadventures.com/collections/transit/products/2-pack-crossbars-for-transit-strata-high-and-mid-roof-rack. Note: Transit and Sprinter crossbars are different sizes and NOT interchangeable — always order the Transit-specific crossbar pack.

What is the distance from the front mounting hole to the first crossbar? I need it for a Maxxair fan or solar layout.
