Headliner shelf cover

"Nice item but didn't come with instructions. It was fairly straight forward but didn't know what the screws were for and wasn't sure where to put the velcro. Once I found the installation videos, this was an easy setup. My only suggestion is to add a URL or QR code to the install videos and/or have written directions with the delivery. Nice addition to the shelf for extra security."

"This shelf cover blends right into the interior of our Sprinter. It comes with sturdy 3M adhesive velcro, making install quick and easy. I haven't had experience with that adhesive in the extreme temperatures our parked vehicle will encounter across the US in our travels but if it comes loose we will add screws with large washers. Definitely recommend."

Smooth zippers. Quality construction.

"I installed this on WTA's overhead shelf so expected it to be compatible, and it was without issue. All the parts arrived safely as well. Prior to installation I would mark the center-points of the cover and 3M strips of tape, then do a drying install by suspending the 3M tape with painters tape to ensure fit and spacing. I applied generous amounts of rubbing alcohol to surfaces, including the headliner fuzz, for better 3M tape adhesion. After thoroughly waiting for the areas to dry, apply the 3M tape with strong pressure. For the tape on the headliner I used a flexible piece of wood and clamps before inserting the included screws with a screwdriver. The result was we can now hide our clutter to passersby and passengers."

Is the shelf cover included with the headliner shelf, or sold separately?

The Sprinter Headliner Shelf Cover is sold separately from the shelf itself. It is not included in the standard shelf purchase. If you want the cover, order it as a separate add-on from whitetopadventures.com/collections/sprinter.

How does the cover attach? Does the velcro stick to the van ceiling?

The cover attaches via velcro at the front lip of the shelf only — not across the full ceiling. The velcro is designed to grip the hard underside of the shelf edge, not the van's headliner fabric. Do not attempt to adhere the cover across the full ceiling — it will not hold on a fabric headliner. Installation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSKoqRJFbOs

The cover came with screws and 3M tape — what are they each for?

The 3M adhesive strips attach at the front lip of the shelf. The screws are for securing the cover panel to the shelf frame itself. If you're unsure which fastener goes where, watch the installation video above or contact us at info@whitetopadventures.com and we'll walk you through it.

My headliner shelf arrived with a dent or damage — can I use a shelf cover to fix it?

In some cases, yes — we have offered to send a shelf cover to cover cosmetic shipping damage when a customer prefers not to return the shelf. Contact us at info@whitetopadventures.com with photos of the damage and your order number and we'll work out the best solution for your situation.
