Sprinter Van Side Steps

Make getting in and out of your van a breeze with the White Top Adventures Sprinter Van Side Steps — built for those who live life on and off the road. Designed to enhance both the look and functionality of your van, these side steps add aggressive styling, extra protection, and practical convenience.

Available for 144” & 170" Mercedes Sprinter models, these side steps feature dimpled Die plates for superior traction in any weather and heavy-duty tubing that holds up to real-world adventure. The driver side includes a traction step that stops short of the rear wheel arch for side ladder compatibility, while the passenger side features a longer 54" step designed to provide you a full coverage to getting in and out.

Constructed from high-strength aluminum and finished with a zinc primer and textured black powder coat, these steps are built to resist rust, corrosion, and the abuse of dirt roads and coastal air. They mount high and tight to your van for a clean, modern look that doesn’t compromise ground clearance — perfect for lifted or stock Sprinters alike.

Installation is completely bolt-on and DIY-friendly, with all required hardware included. They also work seamlessly with our Side Ladder and Surf Board Racks systems without modification.

"Great Sprinter Van product. Install videos are amazingly helpful and 100% spot on. I did this over 2 days, Drivers side first - then passenger side. About 3ish / 4ish hours for each moving slowly. In case anyone is looking for information on compatibility with under mounted water or waste tanks on the passenger side - which I could not find anywhere - my opinion is that this is compatible as long as your passenger side tank isn’t too long. There are two angle braces for the passenger side and you can put them wherever you like. I have not installed the aft bracket yet, and the step is completely stable - but I will install it after my passenger side under-mounted tank goes in. FYI - I have an S&B 16 Gal passenger side tank. It is nice that the bolt sizes are mostly consolidated (maybe 3 sizes, and one is for a quick connection). This massively simplifies things. My roof rack was much more complicated because I was constantly trying to find the right bag. I can’t speak to durability having just completed this project - but the installation was fairly smooth. The only hiccup was that I didn’t cut enough of the undercoating back with the razor blade on the passenger side after frame bracket. This meant one of my holes was too far to the edge of the frame - which was solved with a washer. But this was on me. The video clearly stated to cut in pretty far so you have the real estate for drilling."

Can't live without it

"I just wanted to send a note to let you know how much the Sprinter side steps have improved our quality of life when using the van. The steps have provided sure footing in snow, ice, mud, and days of heavy rain. As I mentioned earlier, I’m a big guy—6'1" and around 290–300 lbs—and I have used the steps with complete confidence. The step height is perfect for me, and it also works well for my wife, who is more than six inches shorter than I am. Attached is a picture taken near Mary’s Harbour, Labrador, Canada. I wish I could have captured a better photo of both your steps and the surrounding environment, but hopefully it gives you an idea of where they have taken us. I don’t know how many times we have entered and exited the van on this trip, but it has been a lot. Without the steps, I’m certain we would have skipped some of the sites along the way. I’m sure we will appreciate them even more as we continue our journey over the next few weeks. Thanks for making this trip more enjoyable for us and for providing such a great product. Thanks,"

"The side steps look great on my 2WD drive 144 Sprinter. These are probably the best priced aluminum side steps you're going to find on the market. They look great and are very sturdy. I followed the video online to complete the install and it went smoothly. It probably took me about 8 hrs total to complete both sides, but I also went slow. Overall I highly recommend them."

Will the side steps fit my year Sprinter? All models?

Our side steps are compatible with all Sprinter models from 2007 to the present. This covers every year, every wheelbase (144" and 170"), and both high roof and standard roof. How do the side steps install? Do I need to drill into the van?

The side steps use existing mounting points on the Sprinter frame — no new holes required for most standard installations. Note: if you have a rear bumper step, be aware that backup sensors can detect the step and trigger false readings. If this happens, the step position may need minor adjustment. Full installation instructions below on this page.

How long does shipping take?

In-stock steps ship within 1–2 business days and arrive in 3–7 business days via UPS/FedEx.

Can I return the steps if they don't work for my setup?

Yes — we accept returns on unused, original-packaging items. Contact info@whitetopadventures.com with your order number and reason. The side steps weigh approximately 25 lbs for both pieces together. Heavy-duty 2”x2” square tube and 2” round tube construction.The steps are rated for adult weight and have been confirmed solid for kids getting in and out independently. Do the side steps work on a 4x4 AWD Sprinter? What is the step height?

Compatible with 4x4 and AWD Sprinter models. Step height on an AWD Sprinter will be slightly higher than a standard 2WD Sprinter due to the raised suspension.
